What is an ‘eBook’?

Cup 3D cover
An eBook is an electronic book. It can be read using a computer or an eBook reader (like Rocket eBook or Pocket PC.)

eBooks are available in a variety of formats - the Outfit Inspirations eBooks are available in Adobe PDF. This simply means that when you purchase one of the Outfit Inspirations eBooks, it appears as a PDF. You can either read it on your computer or you can choose to print it and read it like you would a traditional book.

If you do not currently have a program on your computer that lets you read PDF files, you may download the free Adobe Acrobat Reader from: www.adobe.com

Why Read eBooks?

There is a lot of debate about the pros and cons of eBooks vs. traditional books. To summarise the benefits of eBooks, they are:

  • environmental friendly as they do not need to be printed, thus saving paper and ink!
  • portable and easy to store allowing readers to carry a collection of reading materials and/or reference texts.
  • immediately available as they can be downloaded instantly.
  • evolving and improving with pictures, sound effects, internet connectivity, and other interesting features being developed to enhance the reading experience.

As a lover of traditional books, I do not believe that they will ever be replaced by eBooks, but I am confident that in the future both types of reading material will still be available and widely appreciated - Simone.
