Hi Ivy,
Thanks for your wonderful feedback.
What a great idea to create a memory book for your children! From my experience, there are a lot of different ways to go about this. It can be something that the children help with directly or something that the extended family creates for them. It can be a mixture of photos and text or can include ticket stubs or pressed flowers - anything that represents a positive experience. One can even be created online, through blog technology...
Good luck,
S.

this is an excellent way of looking at our past, too often we only focus on our negative memories instead and this can be destructive in so many ways. i am currently correlating a positive memory book for my children as they have had a rough time and would appreciate any ideas that may assist me in this endeavour. we should all try to remember that even if our past memories are difficult we are yet to create our future memories. thank you for your blog.

Thanks both Glenn and MGL for your comments.
I agree that memories - and are ability to reframe them - is a major asset that we all need to work on harnessing.
Here's to a lot more wonderful memory-making!

Simone, your post about memories reminds me of the reframing concept from NLP. A memory can be framed in any number of ways, positive or negative, and it is always possible to re-frame it in a way that suits you better. The mind is a wonderful thing.

Hi Beryl,
Thanks for the positive feedback!
I love that - "eavesdropping on our thoughts"...There's something very George Orwellian about the image of our cells listening in...
As simple as it gets, positive thinking is better than the alternative!
Looking forward to you stopping by again soon, Beryl.
