I have nerve damage from being hit by lightning and have been under some stress lately. I can't remember the last time I slept without my brain being in overdrive. It's either processng pain or spinning out of control. I've been listening to beta wave tapes and have found that WRITING helps me distance myself from those ugly sleep depriving gremlins. Oh... and then there's chocolate!

So sorry to hear! I think I may have used up all my sleep tokens in my twenties, where I tended to party a lot and sleep the rest of the time :)
Luckily I've never been kept awake by pain...

		<description>I very often find sleep elusive due to pain.

I find if I get up and distract myself for a little while it is sometimes enough for me then to be able to go back to bed and manage a few hours before it begins all over again.
